Casper

Meet Casper, he's around 1 to 2 years old. We are still trying to determine the correct mixed breed he is. A few of breeds we can think of are the following: Staffordshire bull Terrier, american bulldog mix, french bulldog mix. We could be wrong but he looks very close to be among these breeds. He's about 57 pounds and is fully grown.

He was picked up as a stray at animal control and stayed for a very long time beyond his scheduled date to be put down because the staff there really liked him. They at first thought he was deaf, but when he was pulled by Fur Angels to be placed in our foster care program, it was discovered he is not deaf. He may not be able to hear light sounds, we're still figuring out if he has any hearing loss, if any. But he can hear very well for the most part. At this point, we're not considering him as deaf.

He is very energetic and loves to play with dogs. He gets along with all dogs, and has no major issues with dogs. He is around big dogs and small toy breed dogs and have been fine with them. The only problem with toy breeds is that when he's playing and running around, he tends not to pay attention if he's running over any little dogs. He may knock some small children around when he's running around, wrestling with other dogs. He respects other dogs' boundaries. We have another foster dog that will snap at him to tell him to leave her alone if he bothers her, and he would back off, respecting her wishes. So we believe he can take redirection from other dogs very well. He has no food aggression, he has no toy aggression but loves to play tug a war with ropes and any toys with other dogs, mock growling in play the entire time. This poor boy was cooped up in kennels for months with no play time and no play time with other dogs, so he's making sure he's making up for lost time!

He knows sit and down very well and will perform them when requested. He's great with people and loves people. Sometimes when he gets very excited during play time, he can get a bit mouthy but with squirt of water bottle to correct him, he will stop. He has been around some foster kittens and paid them no attention but if they run, he'd gleefully give chase, thinking it's play time.

He is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations and is heartworm negative.

He's waiting for his forever home and his adoption fee is $250.00on line application form.
