Kaelyn

Kaelyn is a very active girl and very much a free spirit. She's always happy and is always smiling. She's always on the move and definitely needs a family that can keep up with her. She needs to be kept occupied or she will find things to, which may not be what you have in mind. She is very interested in training and loves to show off her tricks. She also does well in learning new ones. This will help with her energy as it gives her an outlet to use it in a positive way. She loves to play and could do so for hours. She would make a wonderful agility dog if given the time and a chance. She’s proving to have the hips for it. We have not x-rayed them, but she is not showing any signs of any hip issue.

She does need to be crated when left alone. She will get into everything as she is very curious to see exactly what everything is and how she can play with it. She also had not had a lot of guidance in her life before she came into rescue. She’s a little, well big, diva. She will need very firm (not harsh) and consistent home to help show her more appropriate ways to behave. But, she has made so much progress with learning her manners. She is learning that we don't jump up on people we like when greeting them and that we don't need to get into the fridge every time it gets opened.

She shows more improvement every day. She is deaf and responds well to signals. She needs to be with dog-savvy cats. She feels she needs to herd them. She doesn’t know where to, but she is going to herd them! She doesn't understand that cats don't play like puppies and that they don’t require her herding expertise.
