Skippy
Hello, my name is Skippy. I was really scared when I came to my foster home. I was found walking down the middle of a busy road. I didn’t know what was going on or that I could be hurt. I’m deaf so I couldn’t hear any traffic and I have really poor vision so I couldn’t find a safe place to go. My life is so much better now. I have a safe home where I am loved. I don’t have a lot of confidence in myself with my disabilities.
I need a very patient family that will help me become the great dog I know I should be. I am crate trained and housebroken. I know sit and down. I also have learned to play with my brothers and sisters. They have taught me so much. I love to run around outside and play tag for hours. I had no idea that life could be this great.
I am going to private lessons to gain some confidence. I tried a regular class but I was really nervous. I could see that there were people there but I had no idea who they were or what they were going to do to me. Mom kept telling me that it would be ok, but I was still very scared. Mom says that once I have more confidence I will be able to enjoy a class just like everyone else.
I may never be able to run a full agility course due to my vision, but I will get to play with some of the equipment. Do you think you have the love and patience to help me be everything I hope to be?
